The Herb Garden
Under the canopy of ancient Pecan trees, Carya illinoinensis, adjacent to the Inn Building is the formal Herb Garden. Planted by the Fearrington family in the 1930s, these symmetrical, wide-spreading trees create a beautiful site for outdoor weddings.
The Herb Garden was the first of many garden areas created by Jenny Fitch. Today, the garden is managed by the restaurant staff gardener for inclusion in award winning dinning dishes. Sit a spell in the nearby Adirondack chairs – maybe with a glass of wine from The Fearrington House Restaurant bar in hand – and enjoy peaceful views all around.
As you turn around from the Herb Garden, you’ll see the white pergola of Jenny’s garden.
