We were excited to catch up with Molly Hurley and Suzanne Pond, before their Kinross trunk show at Dovecote on Saturday, August 27th and Sunday, August 28th. Here is what they shared with us about their collection!
How does your brand develop from season to season?
Kinross strives to put a fresh, modern, relevant and original perspective on design. While keeping an eye on emerging trends, we craft our collection to include wear-now pieces for all sensibilities. We no longer see “age.” We only see “aesthetic.” We choose not to follow, but to define.
What is your favorite piece from your current collection and why?
I have too many favorites to choose just one. My three favorites are the more lifestyle items that can be work over a fitted tank top and skinny jeans/capris/shorts. I love to rock Rib Poncho in Parchment and Mixed Stitch Tank which is the perfect desk to dinner top and great for date night at the ICA, and so cool over denim.
What is you ideal OOTD (outfit of the day)? Please describe your outfit and how your brand plays a key role.
I like to feel appropriate for the office, but with an edgy vibe. I also prefer a monochromatic palette and like to work with layering textures. The perfect outfit of the day incorporates a great jean and top with piles of necklaces OR bracelets.
We hope to see you this weekend!
At McIntyre's Books
The Golem And The Jinni is a creative delight, a tale of fantastical creatures. Full of adventure, philosophical and spiritual conundrums tangled amid devotion, friendship, and love. I absolutely love this book! Not only because of the wonderful story, but also because of its physical beauty. I didn't want the story to end, and I didn't want to put this book down!

At Fearrington House Restaurant
Fearrington's Sous Chef Thomas Card worked with a team of five talented high schoolers for the third time last year, through the Prostart Program, a nationwide program that connects the classroom and industry. Every year, Chef Card's Cary High School team has qualified for the National Competition. "I have learned how inspiring a younger generation of culinarians can be," said Chef Card on his experiences with the program. "The process is difficult but very rewarding."

The bittersweet flavors of the Mezcal inspired the name for this unique cocktail. With lots of ingredients grown in the gardens at Fearrington, to the combinations of fennel, gentian root and sea salt, this cocktail is not for the faint of heart.
Smoky Summer Cocktail
Mezcal's origins in Oaxaca inspired the name for this cocktail. The flavors and aromatics from Salers Gentian Root Liqueur, a gentian root commonly used in making bitters lend a bittersweet profile. The fennel... Full Post >
To Brie or not to Brie: that is the question. Grab up this gooey cookbook to reimagine sandwiches, soups, pickles, spreads, and mac n' cheeses. My favorite? The Sunday Brunch sandwich, a delectable melding of Brie and strawberries bookended by French-toasted challah bread; the whole lot smothered in maple syrup. I'm sure this is very healthy, because of the fruit, of course. . .
