Taylor & Jacob’s Fearrington Wedding
Taylor and Jacob tied the knot in the gardens and created a perfectly magical day out of a few raindrops. Enjoy!
How did you and your partner meet?
We are both actors and we had always heard of each other, and meet a few times in college at parties, but when we finally worked together on a show in NC at Cape Fear Regional Theatre,
that was it! I guess you could say we really meet at work.
Tell us about the engagement?
It was the day I left my day job to work on a show and commit to being self-employed. He wanted to take me out to dinner to celebrate. That day I committed to my career and my now husband.
What made Fearrington the place for you to say “I do?’
Fearrington had it all! My mother-in-law showed me this as a possible venue option. My husband and I live in Chicago now and are on tour with a show so we needed somewhere that we knew had it all and could organize even when we weren’t there.
Describe the highlight moment of your wedding day.
The highlight of the wedding day was the way Gilda went out of her way to let us take pictures in The Belted Goat! That chandelier and large window in the restaurant was so beautiful and very our vibe! If we could have agreed on a smaller guest list, it was my first choice for the ceremony venue. Luckily, we got to take some pictures in there after hours with our photographer because of Gilda! We moved the tables fixed the lights and got the perfect shot. Gilda made it happen.
What was your biggest surprise?
The biggest surprise of the day was the weather! It was perfect! There was a morning shower before and rain during the ceremony. Then, when leaving the ceremony, the skies cleared and there was a HUGE rainbow in the parking lot! It was for us. The rain brought the rainbow.
