    THE FEARRINGTON HOUSE'S STORY

    While traveling through Europe, R.B. and Jenny Fitch discovered Relais & Châteaux and were inspired by its celebration of intimate hospitality, exceptional cuisine, and a true sense of place. After learning the association accepted only inns, R.B. famously replied, “So we built an inn.” Completed in 1986 and welcomed into Relais & Châteaux in 1988, The Fearrington House continues to embody that vision today—offering refined cuisine, gracious service, and the warmth of Southern hospitality that makes every stay feel like home.
