Q&A with Bria Bergman
We were excited to chat with Bria Bergman, with Paris West Heritage, before her trunk show at Dovecote on Friday, November 24th through Sunday, November 26th. Here is what she shared with us about her collection!
What three words best describe your line?
Timeless, Luxurious, American-made
What has been your inspiration this season?
We were inspired by classic, timeless patterns (herringbone, houndstooth, stripes, even animal print) that will be staples in your wardrobe and home for years to come.
What is your favorite piece from your collection and why?
Our New Amsterdam throw! I never get tired of feeling how soft it is, and I am always inspired by the design’s juxtaposition of herringbone and houndstooth patterns. This juxtaposition has become something of a signature for all of our pieces now. It’s a gorgeous, show-stopping piece that looks classic at the same time. Jess and I wanted to create an American-made, luxurious and cozy line, and I think that this piece in particular really embodies our mission.
How do you view your personal style?
I am a new mom, so I don’t have a lot of time to plan out and put together what I am going to wear. I gravitate towards classic, quality pieces that I won’t have to replace. I like to pair these pieces with vintage accessories and statement pieces that I have collected over the years. I have several bold knit sweaters that I’ve kept since 8th grade that are still incorporated into my wardrobe.
Do you have recommendations on styling items from your collection?
Our scarves and wraps are super versatile, they can be worn as an outerwear accessory (with a jacket or coat) or indoors as an accent to any outfit — whether at work or out at night, or even lounging at home. We love how our cozy pieces make you feel “at home” wherever you are.
If you could provide one piece of fashion advice, what would it be?
Buy quality over quantity!
We look forward to see you this weekend to welcome Paris West Heritage!
