How to tie a scarf – a tutorial
There are probably zillions of ways to tie a scarf. First, you have to have just the right one. Helpfully, we have a range of scarves in a range of sizes, shapes, and fabrics, all perfect for multiple ties.
A square scarf, tied into a triangle and gathered at the neck is a classic scarf tie that is perfect for the spring and summer season in silk. A rectangular scarf, featuring a blend of silk and cashmere is a wonderful transitional scarf, either bundled to keep the wearer warm or draped as pure decoration. Our favorites are the large cashmeres, which are more versatile than you’d think! Draped across the back or over one shoulder, they look extravagant and artistic. Gathered at the neck, they look much smaller than they are. You can also tie at the waist, attach across the chest, wear as a turban, or wear as a sash.
Have you ever found yourself struggling to make that beautiful scarf look just right? Lots of us have. Dovecote Stylist and tyer of many a scarf, Emma, is coming to your rescue with a tutorial of some of her favorite ways to style any scarf. See the tutorial here.
