TRUST ME…YOU’LL LOVE THIS: flower power
Ann’s translation of this feminine element in freshwater pearls, quartz, moonstone and the most beautiful pink Rhodonite lends an “elegant tomboy” air to her jewelry – making this collection suitable for dress-up or everyday wear.
I have been collecting Ann’s flower necklaces for several years now – where “petals” of pink moonstone, obsidian, shell, flat jasper and serpentine are seemingly “tied” together to form handsome, simple flowers on 17” braided cords so you can adjust the lengths and wear them a million ways – from a single flower peeking out from the neck of a shirt to several worn en masse for a striking statement…..or wrap around your wrist and wear as a bracelet. Their versatility makes this a great gift for mothers of all ages since you can make it your own depending on how you choose to style it.
After graduating from Harvard College, Ann ran a teaching program in Bangkok, Thailand and worked for Save the Children in the Phanat Nikhom refugee camps, and her jewelry reflects her interest in other cultures and her time living and working abroad. She has travelled throughout Southeast Asia and her first jewelry designs were created out of jade medallions and vintage glass stones found in a Shanghai antique market. Ann continues to use fine materials from Asia, South America and Africa in her work giving her collections an exotic, earthy, organic feel. Her designs are strong, powerful and simply beautiful…just like our moms.
Trust me….the mothers in your life will treasure anything from Ann’s collection! (…and so will you!)
