Fratelli Ponte is a small family-run winery operation in the heart of Piedmont, Italy. It began shortly after WWII when Grandpa Carlo Ponte wanted to make wine from his Barbera vines. Thanks to many generations over the years, a proper winery was built and the vineyard acreage has grown exponentially. With just shy of 50 acres of vines across Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero, ‘i fratelli’ (the brothers) Massimo, Ivan, and Renato tend to all vineyard needs. Massimo Ponte will grace us with his presence to walk us through 4 of their family wines, from light & bright Moscato, to hearty & bold Barolo. The first 20 minutes of the event will allow you to speak one-on-one with Massimo and mingle before taking your seat for the tasting portion. The following wines will be presented & discussed:
‘Fiore di Loto’ Moscato d’Asti 2020
‘Fiorellino’ Barbera 2018
Barbera d’Asti Superiore 2017
Experience includes wine samples, hors d’oeuvres, a small plate of food, winemaker meet & greet, and sit-down wine tasting. If you’d like to skip the “meet & greet portion” of the event, please arrive promptly at 5:50pm to be seated at your socially-distanced table. As this is an indoors event, attendees are required to wear facial coverings to enter.
