October 20, 2021
PLEASE NOTE THIS CLASS WAS RESCHEDULED FROM AUGUST 4TH UNTIL OCTOBER 20TH.
Please welcome our newest addition to the wine class calendar — our wine & book club ‘En Vino Veritas’. This will be a quarterly event featuring different wine-themed fiction and nonfiction. Our third featured book will be Drink Pink: A Celebration of Rose by Victoria James. To those of you in “the know”, rose is a wine to be drunk all year-round, not just during the warmer months. For years, rose wines have taken the backseat in the wine world, and are often passed over as a serious beverage. All hail the Drink Pink movement! Victoria James is a world-famous Sommeliere based in NYC who has worked her way through some difficult wine markets & restaurants, proving her worth as one of the youngest wine stewarts in New York. She and her husband, Lyle Railsback, created this book to educate all folks on the wonders of rose as a genuine category of wine. Covering history, production, regions & styles, plus food pairing & recipes, this is a comprehensive reference book for wine beginners and masters alike.
To ensure proper time to read the book before class meet-up, this experience must be ordered in advance so that McIntyres Books has ample time to get this title for you. Please register by October 3rd in order to receive the book before class. (To be clear, you don’t need to read the book to attend and enjoy the class, so check out our book-less ticket below!) You will be contacted as soon as the book is ready for pick-up at The Belted Goat.
Unless you’ve selected the without book option, book club tickets include the book, the in-person class dialogue featuring wine styles from the book, plus a small plate of bite-size foods to cleanse your palate. Class will be held in-person at the Belted Goat in our event space downstairs. (This is no longer a virtual experience!)
