Second Acts: Realizing Your Dreams In The Second Half of Life with Authors Elaine Neil Orr, Marilyn Simon Rothstein, and Barbara Claypole White (and some wine)

Saturday, February 23   |   2:00 pm

Join us for a terrific panel discussion between three authors who came to their writing careers later in life. For this let down your hair event, we will be pouring wine and serving a nibble.

At forty-nine, after two transplants to beat end stage renal disease, Elaine Neil Orr published her memoir, Gods of Noonday: A White Girl’s African Life. Since then, she has published two novels, A Different Sun and Swimming Between Worlds. Elaine’s presentations are a weave of life stories lived on two continents, threaded with the hope of new beginnings.

After a lifetime in the advertising business, Marilyn Simon Rothstein published her debut novel, Lift And Separate, when she was sixty-two years old. Since then, she has released Husbands And Other Sharp Objects. Marilyn provides comic relief in her heart-warming novels and presentations.

After a lifetime of dreaming about becoming an author and many career detours, Barbara Claypole White landed her first pub deal two months before her fiftieth birthday. Since then she has published five novels and created her own niche in mainstream fiction: hopeful family drama with a healthy dose of mental illness.
