Greetings fellow wine enthusiasts! Regardless of the degree to which you identify with the term, whether you like to enjoy a glass every now and then, or, like me, think an Angel loses its wings every time a wine glass is broken, we here at The Goat would like to foster your love for the drink by offering wine every week that we will showcase here in the blog, and have available for tasting on Fridays from 6~7 p.m.
As if it needs more attention these days, The Golden State of sunny California will have the wine spotlight for the week, with it shining brightest over a two man venture in Napa Valley. Founders of Odisea Wine Company and Cochon Wines, Adam Webb and Mike Kuenz are two long time wine industry buddies who, after developing a passion for the wines of the southern portion of the Rhone Valley in France and the Iberian Peninsula, decided to manifest their devotion in similarly styled bottlings of their own. Produced from fruit grown in vineyards within some of California’s foremost appellations, Adam’s wine making talents and Mike’s managerial focus come together to make some serious small lot wine.
Odisea’s Petite Cochon Blanc is intensely floral, with its medium body and supple mouthfeel caressing the palate with honeyed tropical fruit and soft spice!
Odisea’s Pape Rocks exudes wild berry fruit, white pepper, and crushed stone minerality in a rich, unfiltered bottle of deliciousness!
