Greetings fellow wine enthusiasts! Regardless of the degree to which you identify with the term, whether you like to enjoy a glass every now and then, or, like me, have a closet shrine dedicated to the first bottle of Grand Cru red burgundy that you’ve ever tasted, we here at The Goat would like to foster your love for the drink by offering two wines per week that we will showcase here in the blog, and have available for tasting on Fridays from 5~6 p.m.
This week is a showcase of great wine at an even greater price. Both offerings for the week are $10 here at The Goat! Whether you are looking for a good option for everyday drinking or are looking for something easy to serve at your next shindig, be sure to keep these in mind….especially before you contemplate pouring that bottle of Chateau Nônámè from East Whatchamacallistan re-gifted to you for Secret Santa three Christmases ago, that’s been collecting dust in the corner of a closet somewhere….
Buitenverwachting, “Beyond” Sauvignon Blanc, 2012, $10.00 btl
Cooler climate, decomposed granite soil, and a slow, cool fermentation are the predominant influences in this light-med bodied, mineral driven, zesty green Sauvignon Blanc that is perfect for the warmer weather!
Tiamo, Barbera, 2010, $10.00 btl
