Farm Managers

When you stop by the farm to visit our animals you may run into our Farm Managers doing their rounds. Our farm animals are taken care of by Robert Flynn and Bob Strowd - both long-time employees at Fearrington Village.

Robert Flynn has worked with our Belties since they were introduced to the Fearrington pastures over 25 years ago. He is now responsible for overseeing the purchasing,  selling and exhibiting of our Belted Galloway Cows. We're proud that Robert is Vice President of the national Belted Galloway Society. He also serves as our Real Estate Construction Project Manager. If you are interested in learning more about our Beltie breeding program, contact Robert by email.

Bob Strowd is responsible for the daily care of the cattle, goats and donkeys at Fearrington Village. His farm tasks include feeding livestock, managing the breeding program, caring for their health (from birthing the calves to vet visits), and preparing the cattle for showing.

Our Farm Managers are proud to work with the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy to encourage the thoughtful restoration of rare breed livestock. For more information about the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy, contact them at P.O. Box 477 Pittsboro, NC 27312, or call (919) 542-5704.
