Photographer Missy McLamb, whose clients include the children of Mia Farrow, John Edwards, Stephen King, and Erskine Bowles, has opened a contemporary photography gallery at Fearrington Village.

The gallery promotes and sells contemporary photography from fine-art photographers and photojournalists who are based throughout the country. The gallery is also home to the offices of Missy McLamb Photographers, a full-service photography agency McLamb began in 1995 that hires photographers to artfully preserve the most memorable times in a family’s life.

“The mission of the gallery is twofold. We want to exhibit and sell the deeply personal and beautiful work of our photographers as well as connect these photographers with private clients who are interested in hiring an artist to document their lives and the lives of their families,” said studio producer M.C. Byrne.

The CAKE show is a photographic retrospective of 10 years of wedding cake and the images are part of the archives of Missy McLamb Photographers, a wedding photography agency.

Missy McLamb is founder of Missy McLamb Photographers, a North Carolina-based documentary photography agency whose photographers’ images regularly appear in the editorial pages of the New York Times, Washington Post and Martha Stewart Weddings. Missy and her associates employ an unobtrusive approach and combine documentary and fine art imagery with classic portraiture in both black and white and color photographs. In August Missy photographed the vow renewal ceremony of John and Elizabeth Edwards which appeared in People Magazine and The Washington Post and her picture story on a young woman’s breast reconstruction surgery following breast cancer treatment was featured on the Today Show.
