always, this
event is free and open to the public.
The Story of
our belties: New VIdeo
Have you ever wondered how these rare Scottish
cattle with white belts came to dot the pastures of Fearrington Village?
In our newest video, Fearrington's Proprietor R.B. Fitch tells how the
Belted
Galloway came to be the property's mascot years ago. You'll
also hear from Farm Manager
Bob Strowd, the caretaker of all of our cows, who offers insight about
the Belties' daily life here at Fearrington and their special
role in the community.

Wine Class:
Everything but Champagne
Wine Director
Maximilian Kast's
popular
series of
wine classes at
The
Fearrington Granary continues on
Thursday, November 10th with a class that's all about bubbly. Max says,
"we all love to see that sparkle in the glass, a perfect storm of
bubbles rising up like a twister to the top of a just-poured glass. So in an effort to
expand our repertoire of all that sparkles we will explore the wines of Franciacorta,
Cava, the Loire Valley, Prosecco, and yes maybe even Slovenia." $35 per
guest, not including tax, includes light hors d'oeuvres prepared by
Chef Colin Bedford.
Classes meet at 5pm at Galloways. Call (919) 542-2121.

moment on he worked with some of the best winemakers in the country. In 2007 he ventured out along with his partners
Shane MacNicolas and Dean Felber to start Perception Winery. $125 per
person, includes an hors d'oeuvres reception, excludes tax and gratuity.
