The
Farmers' Market Returns
The
Fearrington Farmers' Market begins its 19th season on Tuesday, April
7th! Discover great local produce, flowers and more.
Every Tuesday at 4pm on the lawn beside the Real Estate Sales office in
the Village Center, April through Thanksgiving.
Spring
Brings Baby Belties!
Springtime at Fearrington Village brings many wonderful things; stunning
flowers, beautiful weather, and adorable baby Belties! This year is no
exception, with a total of 15 little ones born this season. Eight
bulls and seven heifers join our resident herd of over thirty-five Belted Galloway
cows. Stop by the village soon to see these new additions before they
are all grown up!

Winemaker Dinner: McCrea Cellars
Join Fearrington Wine Director Maximilian Kast on Sunday, April 19th for
a Winemaker Dinner showcasing the wines of McCrea Cellars.
Susan Neel, McCrea's co-founder and co-owner, will be with us for this
exciting event. McCrea Cellars, the first winery dedicated solely to
Rhone varietals in Washington State, produces Viognier and Sirocco Blanc,
along with reds including Syrah, Sirocco Rouge, and Mourvedre. The wines will be accompanied by a seasonal menu created by
Executive Chef Colin Bedford. $150 per guest, excludes

Out Dinners: New Dates!
New dates have been added to
The Evening Out Dinner Series at our fantastic lunch restaurant, The Old
Granary.
Reservations are now available on Wednesday evenings, April 22nd, May
27th, June 24th, July 22nd, and August 26th. These special dinners feature fantastic three-course menus created by
Chef Stephen Amos
for just $30 per person (excluding tax and gratuity.)
Each course can be paired with wines carefully selected by Wine Director
Maximilian Kast
for an additional $15.

Lincolnian
Micheal Burlingame
On
Thursday, April 9th at 2pm,
McIntyre's Fine Books is pleased to welcome
award-winning author Michael Burlingame to read from his new
book, Abraham Lincoln: A Life. James Swanson of Publisher's
Weekly says "This book supplants Carl Sandburg and
supersedes all other biographies. Future Lincoln books cannot be written
without it..." Michael Burlingame is also the author of
The Inner World of Abraham Lincoln. He has received the Abraham
Lincoln Association Book Prize and the Lincoln Diploma of Honor
from Lincoln Memorial University. He currently lives in Mystic,
Connecticut.
Broadway Producer Todd Johnson
On Friday, April 17th at 2pm, Broadway producer and author Todd Johnson
visits McIntyre's Fine Books to read from and discuss The Sweet By
and By. Raised in North Carolina, Todd Johnson sees the inspiration for his debut novel
in journal writings from time spent with his grandmothers. Johnson was a producer of
The
Color Purple on Broadway in 2006, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical. He has also
been a musician with such renowned artists as Celine Dion,
Tony Bennett, and Garth Brooks. He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and
Yale Divinity School.
McIntyre's
Fine Books Turns 20!
On April 20th, McIntyre's Fine Books will celebrate 20 years as an
integral part of Fearrington's
Village Center and the surrounding Triangle community. The
independent bookshop will celebrate this occasion with special offers, birthday refreshments
from 5pm to 6pm, and a discussion of the staff's
favorite books over the years. We hope you will come celebrate

The
100-Mile Sustainable Cinema Series
ChathamArts, a not-for-profit organization that supports the arts and artists in the local community, presents
The 100-Mile
Sustainable Cinema Series. This ongoing series of film screenings -
taking place in The Barn at Fearrington - features documentaries,
narratives and independent films involving producers, directors,
subjects and/or locations within 100 miles of our hometown of Pittsboro, North Carolina.
Admission proceeds benefit ChathamArts and its
programs, and a future Youth Documentary Arts Program. Filmmakers are
usually in attendance for engaging post-screening Q&A's. The screenings
begin at 7pm and admission is $5 ($3 for students.) For additional
