McIntyre's Cooks & Books Series

Cooks & Books was founded with a premise that there’s no better way to explore a new cookbook than by talking with the author, and sampling and delving into those dishes with seriously fun and delicious discussion. The series is is a collaboration between Colin Bedford, the Executive Chef at Fearrington’s two restaurants – the landmark Fearrington House Restaurant and the casual bar and grill, The Fearrington Granary – and Keebe Fitch of McIntyre’s Books, one of the South’s most celebrated independent bookstores, with an amazing cookbook selection.

Since we launched the series in 2011, we’ve hosted chefs and writers from across the region and nationally like Frances and Ed Mayes (The Tuscan Sun Cookbook), food writer and editor Colman Andrews, the Lee Bros. (Charleston Dinner Party), Deb Perelman (Smitten Kitchen Cookbook) and Nathalie Dupree (Mastering the Art of Southern Cooking). See upcoming events below!

Our Cooks & Books Series continues with a Thomas Keller Dinner on Friday, May 17. No fewer than five courses at a dinner inspired by French Laundry, Ad Hoc at Home, Under Pressure, Bouchon, and Bouchon Bakery.
