McIntyre’s Books is an independent bookstore in Fearrington Village near Chapel Hill, NC with a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction, with particular emphasis on cooking, gardening, mystery and books by local authors.

Since Keebe Fitch opened McIntyre’s Books in 1989, we’ve been hosting one of the largest author events programs in the South. Come out for an event or for a book recommendation from our experienced staff.

You’ll find us on the left as you enter the Village Center. Come out for an event, a book recommendation from our experienced staff, or to browse after enjoying lunch, brunch or dinner at The Fearrington Granary Restaurant.
