What to Expect

The Coffee

Fearrington offers a decaf, regular and espresso coffee, all roasted on-site by our coffee roaster, Patrick. Our regular blend consists of three different beans and is roasted to full city, the sweet spot between a medium and dark roast, with aromas of dark cherries, chocolate and toasted almond. The decaf blend has a fruity aroma of ripe plum and uses two water processed decaf beans. We roast approximately 150 pounds of coffee on-site each week with our coffee roaster named Melina. Come in for a great cup of joe or take a bag home!

The Wine

Fearrington’s Beverage Director Paula de Pano hand-selects each wine offered at The Goat’s wine shop. With over 150 selections of wine, a rotating wine by the glass list, discounts on half and full case orders and regular featured wine selections, The Goat can solve all of your wine needs. The Pastries

Each morning the pastry team at The Fearrington House Restaurant bakes fresh croissants, scones, muffins and other delicious treats that pair perfectly with coffee. In the afternoon, you’ll find we offer specialty desserts, such as lemon bars, tarts and pies, all seasonal and with a Fearrington twist.

The Gelato

Our gelato is made fresh in The Fearrington House kitchen. We only use all-natural ingredients and strive to celebrate seasonality by incorporating the abundance of produce available to us from local farmers. We use local cream from Maple View Farm in all of our gelatos, except for our sorbets which are lactose free! You’ll find nine rotating flavors at The Goat.

Meet the Team

Henry Stokes, Manager

A North Carolina native born and raised in Pittsboro, Henry studied at N.C. State for two years before cultivating his passion for acting. Henry joined the Fearrington team in 2014 at The Goat. He enjoys working with local theater and film projects and defines himself as a coffee lover.
