Planning for Summer

While the past few weeks may have still been blustery and cold outside, within the cozy confines of our glass greenhouse the gardeners at Fearrington have been busy planning–and planting!–for warmer weather. Flats of seeds have been prepared and are being eagerly checked on daily for signs of growth. New cultivars that we are particularly excited about include ornamental peppers “Tangerine Dream” and “Hot Lemon”, which our gardener Donna will add to the gardens surrounding the Granary, and new varieties of agastache and rudbeckia which gardener Deb is growing for the Roost gardens. Be sure to check for these beauties on your summer visits to Fearrington!
