Seagrove Potteries
The Seagrove area of Randolph County, between Asheboro and
Pinehurst, is a haven of tradition pottery-making that has
experienced a great resurgence of interest over the last 25 years.
Jugtown is probably the best known pottery in Seagrove, but there
are actually more than 70 potters selling stoneware of many designs
and glazes. Most of them still adhere to the techniques of their
forbearers. Many other traditional crafts are also sold in the
Seagrove potteries.
