A Southern Season
A Southern Season opened shop in 1975 as a tiny coffee roaster in
Chapel Hill, NC. After customer demand expanded the tiny shop to
28,000 square feet, the NY Times' beloved Craig Claiborne labeled A
Southern Season "wall to wall and floor to ceiling, a visual and
gustatory delight." Today, A Southern Season's location is just
around the corner from its original spot -- and it houses a 60,000
square foot landmark market quite possibly the largest in the
country. With a reputation built on quality, not only of product but
of rarified customer service and attention to detail, A Southern
Season now enjoys national acclaim and a loyal following that
reaches worldwide.

Seagrove Potteries
The Seagrove area of Randolph County, between Asheboro and
Pinehurst, is a haven of tradition pottery-making that has
experienced a great resurgence of interest over the last 25 years.
Jugtown is probably the best known pottery in Seagrove, but there
are actually more than 70 potters selling stoneware of many designs
and glazes. Most of them still adhere to the techniques of their
forbearers. Many other traditional crafts are also sold in the
Seagrove potteries.
