"I had searched for about six years for a second place, a place

before...after seeing a tiny ad with a cow in The New Yorker!I
contracted for a homesite after my initial visit and began building
my home not long after. I love my place - it's cozy, charming and
well-built. I know the house will be a comfort for years to come,
but my most lasting impression of how it all came about will be the
people at Fearrington.
In the end, the question is always, "Would you recommend building
a home?" The answer is a resounding yes! And I would particularly
recommend Fearrington for those who have no experience with
building and/or who must be absent for much of the process. I have
friends who have lived through waking nightmares with
builders - friends who were able to visit the site every day! I went
into this holding my breath but I didn't have to wait long to
exhale. For me, it really worked out well and I couldn't be happier.
