Fitch creations, Inc has its own construction crew comprised of 41 full-time employees, many of whom have been part of the team for over 20 years.  Just to name a few, Trim Crew Chief Tom Tate joined us in 1976, Framing Crew Chief Jerry Wright has 29 years experience with Fitch Creations, Finishing Crew Chief Bobby Wade 23 years, and our Head Grading Specialist Steve Mann has been clearing and preparing homesites since 1979.  Our team's long term commitment and experience at Fearrington ensures that each new home is built not only with the highest quality but with the utmost pride.

"In December of 2004 I retired and we realized that many of our interests and activities would be better achieved in North Carolina, specifically, the Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh area. In Spring of 2005 we began a rather intensive search via the internet and came up with a master plan of developments which we would visit. Friends who lived in NC suggested that we definitely add Fearrington to the list - they felt it perfectly met our needs. Prior to visiting Fearrington, we spent a fair amount of time physically exploring the various communities and found nothing that met our objectives.

Upon beginning our tour of Fearrington we were immediately impressed with the uniqueness of the village. The next few months were an exciting and challenging experience. Our Fearrington team, who had to work with us in a long distance relationship, were creative, patient and extremely knowledgeable about the design and construction process. Jon Condoret and Laura spent a significant amount of time providing suggestions and ideas on the eventual design of the house. Paige Greene was instrumental in the selection process and at times challenged us to consider choices which ultimately turned out to be perfect.

As long-distanced builders we were very concerned about quality of workmanship, scheduling commitment and communications with the individuals responsible for our home construction. Friends who had undertaken similar projects of building out of state shared horror stories with us which caused a high level of anxiety.
