Fearrington Cares

 

Fearrington Cares is a unique organization created to promote the health and well being of Fearrington Village residents. Celebrating 20 years of operations in 2011, Fearrington Cares offers a range of services provided by volunteers and staff such as:

- Transportation to appointments such as medical care, prescription pickup, etc.
- Minor home repairs and maintenance
- Computer troubleshooting
- Help in navigating Medicare benefits enrollment and election
- Helping residents find volunteer service opportunities through the Volunteer Connection
- Companionship and support from the Fearrington Friends
- Educational seminars on topics related to healthy living
- Basic health care services from the Fearrington Cares Registered Nurse
- Weekly blood pressure checks
- Support groups for individuals and caregivers living with chronic diseases and conditions

Fearrington Cares is funded by donations from Village residents and is a 501©(3) not for profit organization. Managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, a small staff and hundreds of volunteers (who live in Fearrington), Fearrington Cares provide the services without charge to all residents of all ages.
