With nearly 2,000 residents, Fearrington Village near Chapel Hill, NC is large enough to offer a diverse range of neighborhoods yet small enough to retain a strong sense of community. The not-for-profit, Fearrington Cares, is operated by residents and provides a range of short-term health care services to residents under the direction of a caring staff and volunteers.

Whether you choose to live well through exercise, healthy eating or both, Fearrington offers easy, social and fun ways to stay fit. With miles of walking paths and trails winding throughout the community, the state-of-the-art Duke Center for Living offering a comprehensive wellness facility and physical therapists, the Fearrington Swim & Croquet Club offering summertime activities, resident-led clubs of all types, and the Spa at Fearrington readily available in the Village Center, exercise comes in all shapes and sizes at Fearrington.

To find fresh, local produce, look no further than the Fearrington Farmer’s Market. Open every Tuesday from April to November, the growers only market has been providing locally grown produce, meats, preserves and baked goods to Fearrington residents for over 25 years!

McIntyre’s Books, one of the best known independent bookstores in the Southeast, offers over a hundred author events annually, free and open to the public (see what’s upcoming). Our casual restaurant, The Fearrington Granary, provides delicious lunch, brunch and dinner options. Pick up a New York Times, coffee, lunch, gelato or a glass of wine at The Goat and linger indoors or out.
