5:30 p.m. | The Fearrington Granary
Join Fearrington House Wine Director Maximilian Kast for a class on the art of blind tasting. Maximilian will lead guests through a selection of five classic wines, and teach them the basics of grape variety identification. Guests will learn how to judge acid levels, tannin levels, alcohol levels, oak usage, and so on. The most important aspect of this class is not actually becoming a great blind taster, but being able to understand more of what is going on in the glass, and why the wine is the way it is. This class includes a cheese plate. 45.00 a class including tax and gratuity.
