5:30 p.m. | The Fearrington Granary
We are excited to announce a very special dinner with two outstanding talents from the Southern Rhône Valley in France: Jean-Paul Versino of Bois de Boursin in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Gilles Gasq of La Manarine in Plain de Dieu in the Côte du Rhône.
The traditionally made wines of Versino have just begun to be imported to the United States in 2012, the vineyards are farmed organically and the wines are aged for eighteen months in mostly neutral barrel.
Gilles Gasq not only has his winery of La Manarine, but is also assistant winemaker at Domaine de Monpertuis in Chateauneuf-du Pape. His winery is in the Cote-du-Rhone-Village of Plain de Dieu, known for fantastic wines based on Grenache, just like in Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
Tickets are $85 and include a reception with the winemakers, three course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Colin Bedford, wine pairings by Wine Director Maximilian Kast, service fee and tax. Please call 919.542.2121 to make your reservation.
