5:30 p.m. | The Fearrington Granary
Join Fearrington House Wine Director Maximilian Kast for a comparison tasting of wines from both the Old World (Europe) and the New World (well everything but Europe). Here we will look at 4 classic grapes: Sauvignon Blanc, Gruner Veltliner, Syrah, and Pinot Noir, and taste two different wines focused on these grapes. One wine will be from the most classic region in Europe that the grape is grown, the other will come from a new world growing region, we will compare and contrast the wines, see where there are similarities and where the wines differ from each other. This class will include a tasting of 8 wines and a cheese plate. 45 dollars per person including tax and Gratuity.
Why get away when everyone else does? Enjoy the Inn’s award-winning service and cuisine and stunning gardens, Mon-Thurs. Includes overnight stay, afternoon tea and full breakfast, and a $50 credit per person for dinner at The Fearrington Granary. Starts at $375.
