Many thanks to everyone who came out last weekend - dressed up or not - to see the carved pumkins and partake in the festivities of PumpkinFest. It was our largest Halloween ever, judging by attendance! Despite the crowds, our pumpkins survived intact except for the onset of some candle induced dryness by Sunday night. And then first thing Monday morning they vanished.
Here are some pictures from last weekend. Incidentally, the last picture here is not of a pumpkin, but a turnip with just enough room inside to accommodate a votive candle, part of a ensemble hanging by wires from a large Japanese maple near McIntyre's Books. As it past years, the turnip constellation was a huge hit with folks.
