The Fearrington Folk Art
Show is back! This weekend (2/20-21) nearly 40 of the Southeast's finest folk artists will
be displaying their craft at the Barn. New and familiar artists will be on hand
as well as a film documentary and panel discussion that offers a fun and
informative way to learn more about this important self-taught art
form.
On Friday night (2/19),
don't miss the Collectors' Preview.
Enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres and a first look at this
year's show - meet the artists and discuss and purchase their work. Arrive early for
a special opening symposium from 6-7pm featuring a preview of All Rendered
Truth, a documentary film profiling Southern folk artists, and a panel
discussion including Scott Blackwell, founder of the Folk Artists'
Foundation and folk art collector/curator Ginger Young. $25 per person;
reservations required. To reserve, visit www.brownpapertickets.com or call (919)
