With my busy schedule I am always thankful for any help in the kitchen.....so I  was especially thrilled to discover I could count on the Fearrington House chefs to provide dessert this Thanksgiving with one of their scrumptious holiday pies!  Order your apple, pumpkin or pecan pie by Monday, November 24th and it will be ready for pick-up on Thanksgiving Day!  Each delicious 9" pie serves 8.

At Dovecote, Rosy Rings Botanical Candles are back again...filled with high grade paraffin, beeswax, concentrated oils, and real spices, flowers and fruit.  Incredibly beautiful and deliciously fragrant with a long burn time – each hand-poured candle takes two days to produce.  We are crazy about Spicy Apple an Apple Pear this time of year.

Bluebirds & Hollyhocks is thrilled to welcome Mark Hewitt to its mix of outstanding potters.  Born in Stoke-on-Trent, Mark is the son and grandson of directors of Spode, the fine china manufacturers. In 1983, Mark set up his pottery in Pittsboro and began making the distinctive functional pots for which he is known, specializing in very large planters and jars along with finely made smaller items.  He uses local clays and blends the different North Carolina folk art traditions together into a contemporary style that has attracted a sizeable following.  Mark’s work has been featured in the Smithsonian magazine and on the cover of American Craft magazine and has been exhibited in London, New York and Tokyo.  He is well-represented  in museum and private collections...and we are honored to have this opportunity to bring his work to Fearrington!
