Now is the time (before late September) to direct sow seeds of cool season annuals such as cornflowers/bachelor buttons, larkspur, breadseed poppy, corncockle, love-in-a-mist (Nigella), and Chinese forget-me-nots.  These will sprout in place in your beds when the time is right, during late winter and early spring.  Don't clean up the bed too much - leave the seeds in place.

New shipment of Beltie dog collars, leads and plush bone toys has just arrived!!!  Our first order blew out of The Goat quickly so if you were unable to catch a glimpse, this is an adorable design with black and white Belties grazing on a grass green ribbon background.

And new to The Gallery at Dovecote…..SugarBoo!!!  Original art by Rebecca Puig is printed on wood and then framed in a 4” deep frame with naturally aged wood lending a simple, earthy feel to her whimsical creations.  Her pieces are bold and distinctive in the softest way….making them suitable for virtually any space – from a child’s room to a kitchen.  Great color palettes complementing most interiors.  The painting featured here - “Man with Dog” – is 48 X 36.

To all the owners of Dovecote’s Signature Bucket Bag (or should I say “bags,” as so many of you could not resist just one flavor!)……autumn colors have arrived!!!  New for this season is the orange pictured here (think the color of an Hermes box), a rich coffee bean brown, and a gorgeous new take on avocado green.  Back again….basic black and a soft metallic pewter.  Expecting blue next week – the shade of a deep blue Carolina sky.
