Everyone needs a little pampering every now and then and if you have not visited Bluebirds & Hollyhocks in the last few weeks, you must pop in and see their fresh new look! Even the bride is sporting a new elegantly styled burlap wedding dress! Casual elegance is what they’re all about…be it a garden supper, a custom bouquet of posies, or fabulous vintage button jewelry…ordinary becomes extraordinary. I was especially intrigued by all of the unusual small containers they are offering this season with which to create your own little table garden. Available in glass or pottery, simply add a few stems of something you may have snipped on a morning stroll and voila – you are a floral designer extraordinaire!  The perfect hostess gift.

The Ultimate Scarf
I have just received a spur of the moment invitation to London next week with a day trip to Paris for lunch (I know…isn’t it romantic?!) and I am headed straight to Dovecote for one of their fabulous Matta scarves which will be perfect as a wrap for evening, a sarong by the pool, or casually draped to add a little oomph to white jeans and a tee for scooting around the countryside. These scarves are incredible (I must admit that I already own several!)...a perfect blend of cotton and silk lending the most luxurious feel and drape…trimmed with tiny ball fringe that softens the face and adds a touch of “Valentino” to the mix…in ten of the yummiest colors of summer. Ahhhh…decisions, decisions!  An absolute must for the season.
