Ideal for intimate and formal dinners, The Fearrington House Restaurant has offered guests a refined atmosphere and renowned cuisine since opening in 1980. Located in the former Fearrington homestead, the restaurant’s elegant dining rooms feature views of stunning gardens and original Southern art to create understated elegance.
Executive Chef Colin Bedford crafts globally inspired menus with fine dining spins on traditional dishes using the finest local ingredients. The restaurant has received AAA’s Five Diamonds award continuously since 1995 and was awarded Five-Stars by Forbes in 2014. The Fearrington House is also a member of Relais and Chateaux.
The Fearrington House offers several rooms ideal for private dining, each with its own character. Below are details about several of the most requested.
Once the office of proprietor R.B. Fitch, this large and airy suite at The Fearrington House enjoys a private but central location on the second floor of The Fearrington House Restaurant. An adjacent private cocktails lounge offers the perfect way to start your evening festivities.
Guests enjoy The Fearrington House’s exceptional food and service with stunning views – including Dovecote lawn and the famous Knot Garden – out every window.

Once the farm’s accounting and business cottage, the Little House, now a wing of the restaurant, is a charming and private dining venue, with 270 degree views of the grounds, including the sweeping south lawn framed by stunning pecan trees the Fearringtons planted in the 1930s and the adjacent herb garden.
Seats up to 32.
Immediately adjacent to the restaurant, the Old Laundry’s close but secluded setting creates the perfect venue for an elegant private dining party. The Old Laundry is accessible by a winding brick walkway through the south lawn under the stately pecan trees.
