Chef Colin Bedford trained and participated in the Raleigh Half Iron Man last year, and this year he is training for a cycling journey. This cycling trip isn't just any ride, it is three day ride from Carmel to Santa Barbara, California to support No Kid Hungry. Chef Bedford won't be riding alone, he'll be joined by nearly 150 other chefs to raise money for the cause!

For the past 13 years, Fearrington has proudly participated in the Triangle Family Services' Gingerbread Benefit. We are honored to return again with Fearrington's own Chocolatiere and Cake Designer, Emma Isakoff, leading our efforts!
Last year, Emma's beautiful design won a people's choice award at the event. We hear we'll have "visions of sugarplums dancing in our heads" once Emma is done with this years creation!

Blue skies and 68 degrees – we could have not asked for better weather on our 7:30am bird walk this past Saturday. Around 20 folks joined and while most of us were novice bird watchers, we looked like the real thing with binoculars and sun hats – perhaps my large cup of coffee from The Goat gave us away! What better way to celebrate Earth Day (officially tomorrow, Wednesday, April 22, 2015) than by supporting a local farmer's market?
The Fearrington Farmer's Market is excited to be in its 25th year and even more excited that Earth Day is celebrating it 45th anniversary! Our local farmers show up every week, rain or shine, beside the Fitch Creation Sales Office to provide fresh produce, meat and treats for residents and neighbors.
