Join Fearrington Village’s casual dining restaurant, The Fearrington Granary, located near Chapel Hill, NC.

A dishwasher is responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen environment and will report to the Chef, Sous Chef or Executive Chef. Responsibilities include:

  1. Load, run and unload the dish machine
  2. ƒKeep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical 
  3. problems immediately
  4. ƒMonitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  5. ƒWash and store all tableware and kitchenware
  6. ƒKeep dish room clean and organized
  7. ƒMaintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
  8. ƒBag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times
  9. ƒHandle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  10. ƒMaintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
  11. ƒClean food preparation and production areas as required
  12. Performing additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef or Executive Chef as needed

In the Granary’s kitchen

Qualifications include:

  • ƒBe able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long period of time
  • ƒBe physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
