Join one of America’s top fine dining restaurants, The Fearrington House Restaurant located near Chapel Hill, NC, and work under the direction of Executive Chef Colin Bedford. Chef Bedford was recently awarded the international culinary world’s top accolade, Grand Chef.

A breakfast server is responsible for the daily preparation of the restaurant, food service and upholding a high standard for customer service. They will will report to the head maître d’. Responsibilities include:

  1. Cleans and stocks regularly used items
  2. Maintains working knowledge of menu items and specials
  3. Operates cash register/customer payment, follows all front end and cash accountability procedures
  4. Trains other staff as needed
  5. Maintains back-stock areas according to department standards
  6. Assists in other departments as needed
  7. Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications include:

  • Ability to arrive at work in a timely manner and with a pleasing disposition
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks, multi-task, and maintain focus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Experience or interest in natural foods and cooperatives
  • Previous barista and/or cooking experience
  • Required frequently: standing, bending, reaching, scooping
