After you’ve designed your Fearrington home working with our architectural designer, Brian Cather, the selection process starts – from the outside of the house and moving in! Working with our home specialist Paige Greene, you’ll enjoy the easy process of making custom choices so your home fits your needs:

  • We look at the different style doors that Thermatru offers or Pella if you would like a sliding door. Then we will look at the options for Atrium windows, Velux Skylights or maybe a Solatube.
  • We have lots of siding color choices in the Certainteed Cedar Impression polymer shakes siding that most of our clients choose, but you may want fiber cement siding where the color will be uniquely yours.

Moving inside, now the really fun decisions are to be made! Usually we start with the kitchen, as it dictates so many other selections in the house.

    • The cabinet choices are numerous and fit all styles thanks to Ultracraft Cabinetry, our local cabinet company in Liberty.
    • For appliances we typically use GE but Viking, Sub Zero, KitchenAid and more are always available.
    • Countertops and backsplash options are endless. Granite countertops – with slabs that you pick – are most common. However we also use Caesarstone, Zodiac and Silestone. The backsplash can be clean and classic subway tile or something more decorative to express your style.

The kitchen and bathrooms offer lots of plumbing options. Delta is our standard brand and we have several selections in our Design Center to see. However if you wanted a Rohl farm sink, a Grohe shower system, Kohler faucet, etc. or want additional touches like a pot filler over the cooktop or a Robern medicine cabinet, we can take care of it.

The flooring of the house is another big decision. Mannington oak, American Olean porcelain tile and Shaw Carpets are what we use as standard, but there are many options: 3” or 5” wide planks, oak or cherry or teak, just to name a few flooring choices.

Finally, not only is it manufactured products that make your home unique, it is also the handcrafted custom work like crown molding and wainscoting that our experienced trim crew installs can make your home special.

We’ll do selections the way you want: if you want something easy, we can make selections in the Design Center. Or if you want us to track down that special granite that you fell in love with and have to have, we can do that as well. Our goal is to make the experience as enjoyable as it can be!
