You’re Engaged! Now What?

Congratulations! You’re engaged! After the excitement of sharing the big news has quieted, what’s next? While there’s no one way to start the engagement and wedding planning process, Fearrington’s wedding planners are happy to share their insight and tips on what couple’s should look to do next.

“Once all of the excitement becomes a reality I always recommend that my clients start looking for their perfect ceremony and reception venues,” said Fearrington Wedding Planner, Erin Day. “After you nail down your location and date you have accomplished the first big step! Then take a break and enjoy your engagement for a bit!” Erin recommends looking for your vendors next, including food and beverage, flowers, cake and photography.

Our wedding planners also recommend that couples start thinking about who they want to share their big day with. “After saying ‘YES!’ start thinking about those who you would like to stand with you and your fiancé on your big day,” said Fearrington Wedding Planner Gilda McDaniel. “Whether they are family or friends, these special people will be your rock throughout your planning process – through meetings, crafting projects and pinteresting!”

And, most importantly, don’t forget to enjoy being engaged! “Don’t forget to relax and have fun with the planning process,” said Gilda. After all, this is your big day!
