A Fresh Look, While you Look!

If you’ve been in The Goat recently to gander at the beautiful new pastries and gelato, you may have seen the changes that have also been going on with the beer and wine here in The Goat.  The old kraft paper shelf-talkers have been tucked away, and replaced with the snazzy new “chalkboard” style format that is easier to navigate…and read!  In addition to the tasting notes, there are also pairing options for each wine to make it easier to decide if the Viognier that you’re considering will go nicely with the roasted chicken that you’ll be having for dinner. Take a moment next time you’re in for a coffee or salad to check them out!  You just might find something you like, but in case it’s not there, I’ll always be happy to rustle something up for you.

Jennifer & David

Jennifer and David tied the knot on October 12, 2014. These newlyweds said their "I dos" at the Garden House, and danced the night away in the Garden Terrace. How did you and your partner meet? We met while we were both working at Walgreen's. A group of people from stores around the area were selected to help remodel stores. For one remodel we stayed at a hotel. While we were there David would always come out at night to keep me company while I would walk my dog. After we started dating,... Full Post >

Please find your way to your seats!

There are so many ways to display place cards at weddings. A recent favorite of mine was wrapping foam boards in a pretty floral print fabric and pinning hand sketched and writen place acrds to the boards. - Cheryl Full Post >

We were excited to catch up with Carol Pratt, for SHOSH NY, before her trunk show at Dovecote on Saturday, March 21st and Sunday, March 22nd. Here is what she shared with us about her favorite pieces this season! What three words best describe your line? Cultivated comfiness, informal elegance, feminine braided with androgyny What has been your inspiration this season (colors/images/places)? The relief from winter: tones that flush faces. We can finally let go of the confines of... Full Post >

Cutest Baby Shower Cake EVER!

Our very talented pastry chefs at the Fearrington House obviously had a great time welcoming Baby Jones into the world.  They even named the animals – Milton the Monkey, Jerry the Giraffe, Roger the Lion and Douglas the Zebra (what else would you call a zebra?!).  Too much fun! - Gilda Full Post >
