Seven Cocktail & Mocktail Books

One of my favorite things to do during the cool winter months is enjoy a Hot Toddy – bourbon, my own lemon ginger tea, local honey, and I’ll normally add a cinnamon stick for flavor and garnish. This year I spiced things up by trying out a drink known in the South as, Mama’s Remedy. This warm, and comforting libation involves dark rum, brandy, milk, two cinnamon sticks, honey and an orange peel. I came across this cocktail recipe in one of our books here in the shop, and decided to try it out for myself.

Sure to please your holiday crowd, I recommend livening up your holiday party with a big cocktail batch. We also have in stock, seasonally appropriate “mocktail” recipe books for the non-drinkers in your group.

Eight Flower Vases

If you’re like me, you love picking flowers to prep for a vase. Featured on all the breakfast and dinner tables at The Fearrington House Restaurant, we have glass flower vases available in two different sizes I recommend for your table at home, or for gifting the gardener on your wish list. These beautifully sleek vases will enhance the look of any stem you choose.

Nine Suzi Roher Accessories

Like icing on a cake, a belt or scarf can instantly top off a look. An incredible union of art, style, and comfort, Suzi Roher belts and scarves are a phenomenal choice for any woman looking for that finishing touch to an outfit. Suzi Roher scarves are some of the softest I have ever felt, while portraying a refined elegance you have to see and feel for yourself. Gift a Suzi Roher scarf or belt to the stylish woman on your holiday list.

Our families have mutual friends who decided to play matchmaker with us. Even after several nudges, Bryce continued to put off emailing me until they started bugging his sister and she made him get in touch so they would leave her alone. We met for drinks at a bar on New Year's Day and talked for three hours. I... Full Post >
