Suzi Roher Accessories

It’s plain to see we love to accessorize at Dovecote Style. Accessories can transform an outfit from simple to super chic. A single item can take an outfit from run of the mill to “I-need-that-now.”

What accessories are we swooning over right now? We love our hand-beaded Miguel Ases earrings and our sparkly Bittersweet Designs necklaces. Ann Lightfoot‘s organic jewelry and Robin Haley‘s Moroccan-inspired stunners are also on the list.

But we always come back to Suzi Roher. Based in Canada, Suzi designs gorgeous leather belts and hand-printed scarves made from silk and modal. Each accessory is made in the European atelier style and the attention to detail is clearly evident.
These wearable works of art are guaranteed to make your outfit as unique as your style. Wear them tied at your neck, draped over your shoulders or knotted in a scarf-box. The patterns and styling-options make Suzi Roher’s accessories endlessly fun! Don’t forget to stop by our trunk show on Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th to see what Suzi has in her Fall collection!

Helping in Haiti

For the second year in a row I had the good fortune to travel and spend a week in Haiti in a little village named Cite Soleil. Cite Soleil is known for its dense population and extreme poverty. I travel with a group of fellow nurses, doctors, and construction crews as well as missionary workers. We provided the community with much needed health care ranging from basic medicines, such as aspirin and vitamins, to more pressing needs such as antibiotics and first aid care for severe wounds and... Every Glass is an Adventure, A Retreat to a New Place

We can all use a retreat from this busy world we live in. From our busy schedules and endless to-do lists, to our constant desire to stay on top of things, we often forget to sit back, relax, and remember why we work so hard. There is evidence that momentary escapes and adventures can bring a sense of calm and joy, and provide a regular equilibrium to our busy lives. For me, this retreat can often be found in a glass of wine. How, you might ask, can a glass of wine provide a momentary... Full Post >

Meredith & Ben

Meredith and Ben tied the knot on May 23, 2015. These newlyweds said their "I dos" under the Pecan Trees, and danced the night away in the Fearrington Barn. How did you and your partner meet? Ben and I were friends from high school, but were two years apart in age. We reconnected over Christmas break during my sophomore year at East Carolina University and Ben's senior year at Auburn. As Ben was getting ready to leave to finish his final semester of college, he told me after our very... Full Post >

Fearrington has many sweet secrets we love to share only with our Inn guests, and my personal favorites are the beach bikes! Offered on a first come, first serve basis for Inn guests only, our red and blue bikes are perfect for the easy trails and gradual hills of Fearrington Village. The parks found throughout our residential areas make for a nice area to explore, too. We also offer helmets for guests to feel extra safe. If you are spending an entire afternoon relaxing at Fearrington, I... Full Post >
