Team Building with Fearrington Flowers

We are excited to announce a new corporate team building opportunity at Fearrington — floral design!

Fearrington’s Floral Designer Mary Stevens will walk your small group (5 individuals or less) through a 90 minute floral design class. You will start with morning pastries and coffee and end with your own personal arrangement to take home!

Participating groups find that each flower arrangement is unique to the creator even though all were given the same tools to construct their final product. What better way to build a cohesive team than allowing individual expression to highlight the strengths each individual brings to the group?

“Fearrington’s gardens are a huge part of the ‘Fearrington experience,’ says Mary. “Of course they are beautiful to look at, but the new floral team building experience provides guests an opportunity to interact with their surroundings, relax with their peers and get creative. With the ever changing seasons and floral options, this activity will be special and unique for each and every group. And most importantly, everyone loves flowers!”

Take the time to enjoy natural beauty with your team and leave this team building exercise smelling like a rose!

The Planning of a New Neighborhood

For Fitch Creations, Inc., creating a new neighborhood has never been simply a matter of knocking down trees. Years of thought and careful planning take place before any land is disturbed or tree removed. The main consideration is to preserve the beauty and integrity of the land while at the same time, establishing a place where people can live in and enjoy their natural surroundings. Would it be easier to clear cut the trees and level the land? Sure, but as anyone who lives or visits... Full Post >

A Clean Sweep

Fearrington's longtime farmer and "Beltie-whisperer" Bob Strowd takes Fearrington's Belted Galloway Cows on a trip every year. This yearly adventure takes a select few of Fearrington's Belties away from the serene pastures surrounding the Village Center and into the North Carolina State Fair. Every year the fair grows larger, the crowds increase and the cattle competition intensifies. We are proud to announce that Fearrington's Belties made a clean sweep of the fair's awards this year --... Full Post >

Erin & Jason

Erin and Jason tied the knot on March 16, 2014. These newlyweds said their "I dos" at the Garden Terrace, and danced the night away in the Fearrington Barn. How did you and your partner meet? Jason and I met in 2008 while we were both working at an international school near Dusseldorf, Germany. I was teaching second grade, and Jason was part of the school’s administrative team. I was actually introduced to him the day after I arrived in Germany. A complete nervous wreck from the plane... Full Post >
