Peonies!

This morning my day was made as I entered the flower shop and was greeted by bright coral peonies! Every year I look forward to May when these beauties are blooming in our gardens and most brides use them in their bouquets and centerpieces.

To me as a wedding planner, peonies are the ultimate romantic, soft flower for weddings and just plain gorgeous! The coral ones are my favorite; they start off bright and happy and with time turn a pale yellow. Just amazing!

Looking from a distance to up close and personal….

I always enjoy going home, however my most recent trip was special, not only did I get to see my parents, I had the opportunity to cook with chefs that I have followed and admired for many years. Springtime and Fabulous Wines

  Starting today at the Fearrington House Restaurant, we will be offering new wines by the glass from magnums to usher in this beautiful Spring season. It doesn't happen too often, but when we open up magnums of wine for our guests, you can bet you'll be enjoying some of the best expressions of wines from those regions.
