Summer is winding down and it’s your last chance to swim in style. For the ultimate in poolside (or beachside) chic, look no further than Dovecote Style and our beautiful pareos from Matta. Made in India from 100% percent cotton and contained in a cute matching bag, these bright wraps are perfect to wrap around your suit before, during and after pool times. Paired with a wrinkled linen tunic from CP Shades and a beachy straw basket, you’ll always be perfectly styled to beat the heat!
We were excited to catch up with Suzi Roher, designer for Suzi Roher, before her trunk show at Dovecote on Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th. Here is what she shared with us about her exquisite collection!
What three words best describe your line?
Fashionable, gorgeous, artsy, quality. Oops, that's four, but I could not leave out quality!
What has been your inspiration this season?
The 'waist' has been my inspiration this season. Silhouettes have bigger shoulders and... Full Post >
It's plain to see we love to accessorize at Dovecote Style. Accessories can transform an outfit from simple to super chic. A single item can take an outfit from run of the mill to "I-need-that-now."

But we always come back to Suzi Roher. Based in... Full Post >

For the second year in a row I had the good fortune to travel and spend a week in Haiti in a little village named Cite Soleil. Cite Soleil is known for its dense population and extreme poverty. I travel with a group of fellow nurses, doctors, and construction crews as well as missionary workers.
We provided the community with much needed health care ranging from basic medicines, such as aspirin and vitamins, to more pressing needs such as antibiotics and first aid care for severe wounds and... Full Post >

We can all use a retreat from this busy world we live in. From our busy schedules and endless to-do lists, to our constant desire to stay on top of things, we often forget to sit back, relax, and remember why we work so hard. There is evidence that momentary escapes and adventures can bring a sense of calm and joy, and provide a regular equilibrium to our busy lives. For me, this retreat can often be found in a glass of wine.
How, you might ask, can a glass of wine provide a momentary... Full Post >
Fearrington Weddings, Real Weddings
Meredith and Ben tied the knot on May 23, 2015. These newlyweds said their "I dos" under the Pecan Trees, and danced the night away in the Fearrington Barn.
How did you and your partner meet?
Ben and I were friends from high school, but were two years apart in age. We reconnected over Christmas break during my sophomore year at East Carolina University and Ben's senior year at Auburn. As Ben was getting ready to leave to finish his final semester of college, he told me after our very... Full Post >
