Britni & Marc

Britni and Marc tied the knot on March 7, 2015. These newlyweds said their “I dos” at the Garden Terrace, and danced the night away in the Fearrington Barn.

How did you and your partner meet?
We met through a mutual friend in Richmond, VA.

Tell us about the engagement?
We got engaged on a very windy and cold May day in Virginia Beach. Marc hoped for a ocean view engagement, but the weather just wouldn’t compromise.

What made Fearrington the place for you to say “I do?’
Fearrington was the perfect wedding venue for us. Besides being a great half way point for our families, it was the most incredible one stop shop we looked at. They took care of every detail and made the planning process seamless. Fantastic food, decor and the backdrop of the barn was amazing.

Describe the highlight moment of your wedding day.
The highlight of our wedding day was being able to celebrate with our closest friends and family.

Anything you want to add about your wedding story?
We loved that Fearrington let us customize our entire day. Wonderful staff, service was superb. When can we do it again??

This wedding was designed and coordinated by Fearrington’s own Gilda McDaniel.

Ashley & Jason

Ashley and Jason tied the knot on February 28, 2015. These newlyweds said their "I dos" at the Garden Terrace, and danced the night away in the Fearrington Barn. How did you and your partner meet? We went to the same college, Carnegie Mellon University, and actually lived on the same floor freshman year. We really didn’t start to know each other until the second semester that year, when I couldn’t figure out the Virtual Lab assignments from Chem 2 class and someone had casually... Full Post >

Divine Intervention or Maker’s Mark?

We've had bridal couples consider it before, and I remember thinking it was a cute idea, but now I am a believer! I’m talking about Burying the Bourbon -- really. In our planning meeting, I realized that Libby was serious about burying a bottle of Bourbon at her wedding site 30 days before her and Will's big day. So, our gardener Donna cheerfully obliged. A month later, Will did the honors of digging up the buried treasure just before the ceremony, in the midst of a heatwave with... Full Post >
