Fearrington’s Farmer’s Market is stocked with a bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables this week! A few crowd favorites include:

  • Peaches
  • Cantaloupe

  • Garlic (incl. elephant garlic)
  • Kale
  • Spearmint
  • Summer Squash

Jessica & Ben

Jessica and Ben tied the knot on May 18th, 2014. They held their ceremony at Fearrington's Crab Apple Trees and celebrated their "I dos" in The Garden Terrace! How did y'all meet? Ben and I met as undergraduates at Duke University. We had attended a speaking event and struck up a conversation on the way back to campus. Fearrington-Fullsteam Summer Beer

So with the coming of each season, we at Fearrington get excited to release the newest collaboration with Fullsteam Brewery.  This week we are releasing our Fearrington-Fullsteam Summer Beer, and it is: An American Berliner Weisse steeped with local Elderflower for lifted aromatics. Rainy Days?

Starting in late June, and continuing all through the summer, the various species of Rain Lilies have begun their show in the Gardens at Fearrington. Whether Zephyranthes, Habranthes, or Cooperii, the rain lilies are all bulbous plants and part of the Amaryllis family. Tough, drought tolerant, and deer-proof, these beauties come in colors ranging from white to yellow, to brightest pink -- such as this clump located across from McIntyre's Books front entrance. Beat the Heat!

Now that summer has arrived we certainly are feeling the heat here in central North Carolina!  With the temperatures reaching near 90 degrees the past few weeks, many are looking for relief from the sun and humidity.  What some might not know is that besides our outdoor pool we offer to Fearrington House Inn guests, we also have complimentary bikes as well as plenty of shaded trails within our community.  What better way to stay active (and cool!) than with a bike ride or walk through one of...
