A Fearrington Spring to Savor

It’s early on a weekend morning in April and the sun has already warmed the spot on the terrace at The Fearrington House Restaurant, where you’ve chosen to enjoy the day’s first cup of coffee. A gentle breeze stirs fragrance from the canopy of wisteria blooms surrounding you, and you settle back to listen to the birdsong lilting through the gardens and savor the beginnings of what you know will be a perfect day.

As vibrant and beautiful as the gardens at Fearrington are throughout the year, there is something about spring in this part of southern heaven that makes it extra special and so worth visiting. Spend a little time here, and you will soon realize that spring loves to linger. Each day brings a new and different delight into bloom in our well-loved and carefully cultivated gardens — tulips and phlox blend seamlessly into dogwoods, viburnum, alliums, and of course, that incredible wisteria arbor covering the breakfast terrace!

With acres of blooming gardens to wander among, you will never have trouble finding the perfect spot to enjoy all that spring has to offer here. Whether your preference is a secluded arbor for reading, breathtaking views of pastures and flowering trees to take in while sipping a sunset glass of wine, or simply watching a pair of nesting bluebirds splash in one of our many fountains, a Fearrington spring is not to be missed!
