Fearrington is Feather Friendly

Fitch Creations, Inc. is proud to share that Fearrington Village is now a certified Bird Friendly Habitat at the highest level by the New Hope Audubon Society.

In September, New Hope Audubon visited with Ryan Caldwalader, Fearrington’s arborist and gardener, and Laura Morgan, General Manager for Real Estate and New Construction at Fearrington, to showcase the village’s features to attract bird-friendly habitats.

The New Hope Audubon Society noted that Fearrington has installed numerous bird-houses for bluebirds, brown-headed nuthatches, screech owls, and barn owls, as well as pollinator gardens using native host and nectar plants. Additionally, Fearrington established pond and water features, and cultivated native trees, shrubs, and perennial plants to provide many different safe havens for our feathery friends.

Fearrington is delighted to receive such a special certification. We will continue to look for ways to make our homes welcoming to our natural neighbors.

Join us on our bird watching walks – our next walk is December 12th. Share your pictures of birds at Fearrington with us by tagging us @GardensFV and using #Fearringtonbehindthescenes on Instagram and Twitter.
