Q&A with Emanuel Fresko of Crea Concept

We sat down with Emanuel Fresko, who will be representing Crea Concept at their trunk show at Dovecote this Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th, to tell us a little about Aisha Gunel, the Turkish designer for this fabulous collection.

What has been the inspiration this season?

While Italy gave her [Aisha] inspiration on the elegant classics, France aided her in creativity and playfulness , if you mix those two influences to the middle eastern one in which she lives and works, you get the essence of what the Crea Concept collection is all about.

How would you describe the Crea Concept collection?

Versatility, while elegant and with a classic edge, the fluid and asymmetric silhouettes gives the collection a unique and fun look, and the concept of covering the body with layering pieces gives it that exotic look and feel that most women love. Aisha’s philosophy is for the women in Crea, to always be ready whether travelling, working or attending a cocktail party.

Crea Concept will be showing the Fall/Winter 2014 collection in addition to Resort/Spring 2015. Feel inspired to plan a winter getaway! We hope to see you this weekend!

We hope you're as excited as we are. Today, we've taken a simple blue top with black pants and created the perfect casual ensemble for Fall. CP Shades has gorgeous cotton flannel... Full Post >

Diane & Dina

Diane and Dina tied the knot on April 19, 2014. They said their, "I dos" under the Willow Oaks and danced the night away in the Fearrington Barn! How did you and Dina meet? We met starting new jobs on December 31, 1988 in Winston-Salem at Wachovia Bank. We were being processed in HR and Dina asked Diane if she was nervous starting a new job. We were both new to Winston-Salem and did not know anyone in town. After multiple attempts, Dina was finally able to persuade Diane to come over... Full Post >

Being Creative with Fullsteam

Food, beer, wine, restaurants, service, music, painting, sculpting -- what do all of these have in common? Creativity and imagination! Some are individualistic expressions and some are joint, or better, collaborative expressions. The teamwork and creativity that goes into restaurants is something that when working well, should go unnoticed, it should feel natural. In our second year collaborating with Sean Lilly Wilson and Fullsteam Brewery I feel that natural mutual creative energy in... Full Post >
